An enclosed stone room is a very good place to hold a party, and it is a space we set up for specifically rather than treating it like any other room.
Stone reflects sound, so the approach is to place the sources close to the guests rather than firing everything down the length of the room, and to keep deliberate control over the low end so that the kick and the bassline stay separate and defined. Done that way an underground room feels full and clear at a level that is comfortable to stand and talk in at the edges, which is exactly what you want at one in the morning.
A day that moves through several spaces
